My Story.

As long as I can remember, I have always been the creative type. The best feeling is to have a vision of something and be able to generate my thoughts into tangible items.
My wood art started out as a pile of old wood pallets that had been sitting in my backyard for years. One day, I decided I was tired of looking at them, but I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do. I couldn’t toss the pallets into the trash, I didn’t want to burn them... All I needed was a vision of what they were “yet to be.” I got my husband to cut them down into workable size pieces. He kept asking me what I was going to do with all this wood and at the time, I literally had NO CLUE. He joked with me and said, “It’s not like you can just google “scrap wood ideas!” But that’s exactly what I did.
I found page after page of these exquisite wood art pieces that people had created. My little visionary light bulb went off and it lead to me spending hours in the garage that afternoon. I tried and tried to sculpt these beautiful pieces of wood into SOMETHING, but they were just too warped and splintered from sitting outside for years. However, being out in the garage that day inspired my imagination into a place it has never been... and I was hooked.
The next day, I went to the hardware store and bought a mass amount of wood, glue, stain and nails. I was determined to come out with something I would be proud to hang on my wall. Once my first piece was created, I knew this was something I wanted to keep doing. And here I am...
